Education, music, and art is deeply woven into Hannah's life.  After years of studying the piano, it was only natural that she began teaching in 2000.

The Making of an Educator

Before Hannah started teaching in 2000, she prepared with pedagogy lessons.  Her natural aptitude for teaching quickly became evident as her student body grew and ranged from 5 year old children to retirees.  Each student was guaranteed a curriculum tailored to their goals and strengths.

Hannah also studied music at the University of Mary Washington, and then received her B.A. in Art History at Rutgers University, and her M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at NYU.  From the start, Hannah was passionate about education and incorporated teaching into all aspects of her career.

Highlights from Hannah's non-profit and corporate work illustrate her continued enthusiasm for developing quality educational resources. She has developed literary, cultural and art resources for public school art teachers; organized over 100 professional development workshops and seminars for professional artists teaching underserved children; and designed educational resources for a Fortune 100 company's customer service strategy.

As Hannah is passionate about helping others learn, she is also a life-long learner.  She continues to take courses in pedagogy, audits college courses relating to music, reads pedagogical and theory texts, and of course, continues to play the piano.

Trained as a classical pianist, Hannah began playing at the age of 5 and began formal training at 8.  To build her knowledge of different methods and techniques, she has studied with several teachers, including Edith Kraft (Professor of Keyboard Studies at The Juilliard School) and Sarah Nehman (studied with Claudio Arrau).

Starting a young age, Hannah began playing throughout New Jersey and Virginia.  With her classical training, she performed as an accompanist, brought music to nursing homes, and played the piano for several churches.
